How do I go about registering my son and myself for the Star Wars dark side 10k before the race sells out? He is 11 years old so he can't do the event by himself. I am concerned that if I sign him up first, the race will sell out before I can sign up.

    Hi Melanie!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I recently posted a blog with tips on registering for runDisney events, so definitely check out my advice.

What you'll be most concerned with is being ready to register right when it opens.  If I were you, I would register myself first and then him.  You can register him under your Active.com account right after you register yourself (and you won't have to get back in the "queue" to wait for a turn in the system again).  I have registered myself and both of my sons on multiple occasions and never had any issues getting us all signed up.

I don't think you will have any trouble getting both of you in.  Just have your Active account set-up, then be online and logged in ten minutes or so before it opens.  You will find a link to the registration page on the Star Wars Half Marathon - The Dark Side website, but it won't become an active link until right at noon (Eastern Standard Time) on August 9, 2016.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
