When we go to purchase the lightning lane multipass, can we log in on two devices to book two separate days at the same time (7am)? Can they be logged into the same account on two devices (iphone and ipad for example)?

Hi there Kelly, and welcome to planDisney!

With the recent launch of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass here at Walt Disney World Resort, a lot of Disney folks and families have been coming up with new strategies to try and snag some the return times they're hoping for each morning as soon as they're eligible to book them.

I also wondered whether it would be possible to try to make Lightning Lane pass purchases and bookings across two different devices, so we tested this out on the launch date and can share some of my observations as well as what we experienced as we tried to book two different attractions at once:

    • While it is currently possible for you to attempt to do this with each member of your party on their own device (making sure that you're all linked to each other's Family & Friends lists), it's important to make sure that everyone has the appropriate theme park admission so that they can be selected as eligible party members in the My Disney Experience app
    • In our experience attempting to test this out a second time with the same account over more than one device, this resulted in a momentary delay in the app across our devices that resulted with only one being successful at the time while the others failed. We asked a Cast Member of the Guest Experience Team who recommended that guests should really avoid doing this, especially since return times for these popular attractions like Tiana's Bayou Adventure or TRON Lightcycle/Run can be snagged rather quickly and sometimes those extra seconds can really matter! (I'd personally attempt this again with separate accounts in the future.)
While offerings and policies may always be subject to change without prior notice, it's always interesting to observe how fellow guests find ways to make this work the most efficiently for their trips and travel parties. Having more than one savvy party member on their device can certainly save some time and even allow you to score some great spots, and I always recommend having someone handy with a countdown to the moment you're able to start making those purchases. Stay tuned for any future updates on the Disney Parks Blog, and come back to us here at planDisney again for any other answers or advice ahead of your visit!

Wishing you all the best on your quest to make the most of your Lightning Lane passes!
