Hi Margaret!
Thank you for swimming by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about
Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools!
Margaret, the pools at Walt Disney World Resort hotels are to be used by the hotel’s registered Guests only. In other words, “pool hopping” is not allowed at Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
You will only be able to access the pool for the Walt Disney World Resort hotel you are registered at. Many of the Disney Resort hotel pools now have a gate with a
MagicBand access point attached to it. Registered Guests of the hotel must scan their MagicBands in order to open the gate and enter the pool area.
There are two exceptions to this rule: Guests of Disney’s All-Star Resort hotels (Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort) are able to “pool hop” between the three Disney’s All-Star Resort hotels pools.
Guests of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside can also “pool hop” between the two Disney’s Port Orleans Resort hotel’s pools.
Margaret, if you have any additional questions, please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel again. We are always here to help you make your Walt Disney World Resort vacation “splashtacular!”
Just Keep Swimming,
Priscila
