Can you go to polynesian if you are not dining or staying there

    Welcome to planDisney, Dana!

One of my favorite pastimes while spending some non-park hours in Walt Disney World is exploring any of those lovely resort hotels. Among my favorites? Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

Dana, you'll be happy to hear that you will be able to visit the beautiful Polynesian on your upcoming visit. On our Magic Kingdom Park day, I'll often pencil in a midday break with a hop to a monorail-adjacent resort. A perfect spot for that is the Polynesian's Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace or the always-outstanding Kona Cafe. After a few hours of playing with Pirates, visiting Princess Tiana, and assisting Buzz Lightyear, we'll hop onto the monorail and head to an hour or two at the Polynesian. I love browsing BouTiki, too, for tropical trinkets--but I warn you. If you're like me, even a short visit might tempt you to book your next trip with a stay at this exquisite, exotic resort.

Of course, I can't think of a better start to a WDW day than Tonga Toast or the (finally!) reintroduced Samoan Benedict plus a cool glass of liliko'i juice from Kona Cafe. Just set aside some extra time to explore the resort and you'll soon see why so many call this their favorite home away from home.

Heading to a Disney Resort hotel after a visit to the Polynesian? You can walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center--located right next door to the Polynesian--then take transportation to your home resort from there.

Dana, as you plan your Polynesian visit or any other element of your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
