How do I go about ordering a birthday cake on the DREAM? We are leaving July 10th and my son's b'day is on the 3rd. He will be 5.

    Hi, Danetta!

Happy Birthday to your little prince -- sailing on the Disney Dream is a fantastic way to commemorate turning 5!

You can make a special request under the Customizing Your Cruise page under the Planning Center. However, since you're within a month of sailing (yay!), I suggest calling (800) 601-8455 and requesting the cake personally.

I'm quite certain that you can order a cake -- you just may be limited with your options of what it looks like. Recently, my daughter celebrated her 14th birthday on board the Disney Wonder, and I completely forgot to order ahead of time. Yet, we informed our head server when we entered the restaurant that evening, and they presented her with a personal cake -- complete with a candle and a song -- at the conclusion of our meal.

In addition, make sure you drop by Guest Services and pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for your little guy to wear proudly while on board. My daughter loved receiving all the attention from crew and guests! I hope this helps you plan.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
