Where do I go to order the free vacation planning DVD? I would love maps of the park as well.

Hey there, Wanda! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with your vacation planning question. I just love chatting Disney with my pals, pal!

Eeeeek! I'm so excited that you are in the beginning stages of planning your magical adventure to The Most Magical Place on Earth! There is so much magic on the horizon, and I'm so happy for you to be immersed in it before you know it. Planning Walt Disney World Resort vacations is my favorite pastime, so, you've come to the right place, Wanda, and I'm thrilled to answer your question today.

In line with Disney's commitment to environmental conservation efforts, vacation planning DVDs and materials are no longer mailed out. But Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" Everything you may need to plan the most magical vacation, including maps, is right at your fingertips on the Walt Disney World website. I recommend starting on the vacation planning page for an overview of the planning process and the magic that is in store for you. It even has a pixie-dusted video to watch to help you get even more excited about your upcoming vacation!

I always like to start my vacation planning process by deciding where to stay (This is my favorite part of planning!). There are SO many amazing Disney Resorts Collection Hotels that immerse you in your own Disney story, so, find the Resort that is perfect for your travel party's practically perfect vacation. I recommend checking out the planDisney Pocket Guides to get a fantastic overview of the Disney Resort Hotels to find which one speaks to you the most.

Vacation packages, including your Resort Hotel and theme park tickets, for 2023 will become available for booking on June 8, 2022, so, on or after that date, you can book your magical vacation package online or over the phone. Since many Guests have been waiting for this day and hold times for the phone lines are sure to be high, I recommend booking online. Just be aware that you may have to wait in a virtual queue to book online, but it will be worth the wait! Once your package is booked and/or your tickets have been added, be sure to make your Theme Park Pass reservations! These reservations are required for everyone to enter all four of the theme parks, so, this is a planning step you definitely don't want to skip!

I recommend hovering over each tab at the top of the Walt Disney World homepage and using those tabs and the information under those tabs as your planning guide. Once your room is booked, tickets are purchased and Theme Park Pass reservations made, check out the "Things to Do" tab. This is the fun part! Here, you will learn about the attractions, entertainment, character interactions, your must-do dining experiences, and the Enchanting Extras you may want to add to your vacation. The magic is calling, and I'm so happy that you're answering the call!

I hope this was helpful, Wanda, and I hope you have the most magical and memorable vacation! Please stop by any time with any vacation planning questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!

I hope to see ya real soon,

    Mandy
