We go to MVMCP every year but my daughter was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Do they offer any other type of cookies or holiday drinks (low carb or lower sugar) or some kind of alternative? Thank you.

    Hi Joelle!

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter's diagnosis. Don't worry—Mickey and the gang are fantastic at ensuring everyone can have a holly-jolly time, regardless of dietary needs!
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) at Walt Disney World has been known to offer alternative options for guests with dietary restrictions, including lower-carb and lower-sugar options. I’m happy to share a few tips to help you and your daughter enjoy the festivities:

    1. When you arrive at the party, head to Guest Relations or ask a Cast Member where to find lower-carb or lower-sugar options. They often have lists of available alternatives or can point you to locations offering these treats.
    2. In past years, MVMCP has offered allergy-friendly cookies that are free from common allergens and can sometimes be lower in sugar. These might be available upon request at the designated cookie stations.
    3. While the typical holiday drink offerings are sugary, many beverage stations offer alternatives like bottled water or diet sodas. You can also ask for hot chocolate made with sugar-free options, if available.
    4. Another option is to bring along some of your daughter's favorite low-carb or sugar-free treats. Disney is very accommodating with bringing outside food, especially for medical reasons. You can enjoy these while soaking in the festive atmosphere!
    5. If you're planning to dine in the park during the party, many Magic Kingdom Park restaurants can accommodate dietary needs. When making a reservation (or upon arrival), inform the host or server about your daughter's needs. Chefs at Disney restaurants are known for coming out to discuss and customize meals.
    6. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the locations of First Aid stations in the park. They can be a great resource for any medical needs during your visit.

Remember to check the latest updates on the Walt Disney World website or mobile app, as offerings can change from year to year. Wishing you a magical, merry time at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and may your holiday season be filled with joy, laughter, and a sprinkle of pixie dust!

    Jingle all the way!
