We would like to go to Mickey's Halloween Party but just the party. My question is do we buy an entrance ticket and a party ticket or can we just buy the party ticket?

    Hi Jen!

If you are only interested in attending Mickey's Halloween Party in the Disneyland park you will only need to purchase the special event party ticket for that night. The party usually begins either at 6pm or 7pm but check the calendar for the correct time on the night you wish to attend.

The great news about this ticket is that you will actually be allowed to come up to three hours early for the party and enjoy Disneyland and California Adventure during that time. Your party ticket gives you the five hours of party time AND the three hours of early park time so you can actually have up to 8 hours to enjoy the parks that night.

Once Mickey's Halloween Party begins in the Disneyland park all non party ticket holders will be expected to leave and the fun begins with trick or treating and special entertainment for the party guests. The California Adventure park remains open to all guests and does not close for the party ticket holders.

If you and your family or group can last the night away for the Halloween party it is great to just purchase the party ticket. If you feel the need to visit the parks during the morning and early afternoon then you would have to buy the regular day ticket as well. My suggestion is to just go with the party ticket and enjoy the 8 hours in the parks it will give you!
