Ahoy Tracy!
Is there anything better than combining the magic of a Disney Cruise Line vacation with the excitement of a visit to Walt Disney World Resort? I don't think so! Pairing these two vacations together is the perfect combination. . .and one of my favorite ways to travel! Last year I had the chance to visit Magic Kingdom Park and then set sail on a Very Merrytime Cruise as well and it was nothing short of a spectacular start to the holidays.
Tracy, there are a few things you'll want to consider when making your plans to visit
Magic Kingdom Park. I double-checked your arrival date and saw that
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled for that evening. This means that Magic Kingdom Park will close early on this day and only those with tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be allowed in the park as the party starts. If you haven't attended a holiday party before at Magic Kingdom Park, it is quite the experience and one that I highly recommend. From the parade to the holiday fireworks to "snow" falling on Main Street, U.S.A., it's such a festive way to celebrate the season. You may want to consider
purchasing a ticket for this event instead of a day ticket to kick off your
Very Merrytime Cruise with some holiday cheer!
Of course, you are welcome to
purchase a one-day standard ticket to Magic Kingdom Park that day, but I wanted to make sure you were aware of the early closing time before making your decision. Depending on what time you're planning to arrive on the 14th, you may still have time to enjoy everything you're hoping to see and do during your visit to Magic Kingdom. If you're interested,
Lightning Lane Multi Pass is an available option to help you save time waiting in lines and make the most of your day in the park!
When you're ready to finalize your plans for your Walt Disney World Resort stay, you can
call a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member for assistance in
adding a resort reservation to your cruise. During this call, they can also set up
ground transportation from your Disney Resorts Collection hotel to Port Canaveral.
Tracy, I'm sure you're going to have a delightful time visiting Walt Disney World Resort and sailing on your Very Merrytime Cruise! Don't forget to keep an eye on your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App while on the ship so you don't miss any of the special holiday happenings like carol singing, deck parties, the tree lighting celebration, and character greetings. You can also use your app before your sailing to manage your reservation, book onboard activities, and even complete online check-in. Personally, I'm also a big fan of the super cute countdown I see every time I open my app!
You're always welcome to be our guest here at planDisney and I hope you stop by to
see me or any of my panelist pals again if you have any other questions!
Bon Voyage!
