I want to go on a Land & Sea Disney Cruise vacation, but don't want to mortgage my home to do so? Can you help me find hidden discounts?

I completely understand your concerns. The Disney Cruise Line (DCL) is very pricey. I can tell you that the voyage exceeded all of my expectations. Since the cruise does take away from time at the parks, I do recommend families to just go to Walt Disney World (WDW) on your first visit. This saves money and allows you to really soak up the magic inside the parks.

When we were planning our cruise and WDW vacation, I found that purchasing all the components of the trip separately allowed me to get the best discounts. Visit mousesavers.com and go to the DCL section for tips on finding discounts.

Next refer back to the same site to learn how to save on your Walt Disney World accommodations and tickets.

Price out everything separately and then compare it to a few quotes on packages. Traveling in the off-season will immediately help your budget. Consider a 3-day cruise and opt for a lower cost cabin. We had an outside stateroom with a window. It was perfect for us. I didn’t have to worry about my son wandering on to the verandah and it kept our budget in check. Since you are splurging on the cruise, stay at a value resort even if you usually visit the moderate or deluxe hotels.

With some research and cost-comparisons, I think you’ll be able to notice some good ways to cut costs.

    Best wishes!
