Hi Deborah!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It looks like you have a trip to Walt Disney World Resort planned for next yEAR!!! How exciting! Before you know it, your vacation will be here, and you will be enjoying yourself while making some incredible memories at the theme parks!
I am so glad you asked this question, because not only will it help you better plan your trip, but it will help many other Guests who are wondering the exact same thing!
Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park does require a
Special Event Ticket but does NOT require a theme park admission ticket. So, to clarify, yes, you
can visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios on the same day that you attend Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom without a Park Hopper ticket! Your Special Event ticket allows you entrance as early as 7:00PM to
Magic Kingdom Park, giving you a little more time there than the actual event times, which is some extra pixie dust! But, if you plan on arriving at Magic Kingdom Park any earlier than 7:00PM, then you would, in fact, need a theme park admission ticket! I hope that this information clarifies things for you and helps you plan your day (and night)!
Remember that the Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park has limited availability and has specific dates that it is held, so I do recommend reserving your tickets sooner than later to ensure you have them! What fun it will be to experience the theme park late into the evening! I have always found a ride on
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to be a completely different (and even more thrilling) experience when ridden at night than during the day!
Please come back with any other questions you may have as you continue making your plans for your magical vacation!
Stephanie
