Hi Janis! Welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for stopping by with your question about visiting
Walt Disney World Resort during one of the most magical times of the year. Early December is a fantastic time to experience the holiday season at Disney, and
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom is a must-do. From snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A., to Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and the stunning Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, there’s something for every family member to enjoy. Plus, special holiday treats, character meet-and-greets in festive attire, and limited-time attractions make this event unforgettable!
You can absolutely visit
Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the day and attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom that evening, even without a Park Hopper ticket. Here’s how it works: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special ticketed event allowing partygoers to enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 PM, even though the party doesn't officially start until later. As long as you have a valid ticket for Hollywood Studios (whether a single-day or multi-day 1 Park Per Day ticket), and a separate ticket for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you can enter both parks on the same day. However, if you only have the Christmas Party ticket, you won't be able to enter any other parks that day, and your entry to Magic Kingdom will begin at 4:00 PM with that special event ticket. Some guests like to take advantage of this by relaxing at their
Disney Resorts Collection hotel in the morning before heading to Magic Kingdom in the afternoon, but that’s entirely up to you!
As you plan your visit, be sure to explore the festive holiday decorations around the resorts. One of my personal favorites is the towering Christmas tree at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge! And don’t forget to stop by
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to admire their life-size gingerbread house!
If you need any more planning tips, we’re here to help. Have a wonderful time making holiday memories at Walt Disney World!
Warm wishes,
Brent
