We are about to go on our first cruise and I am trying to sort our budget. For tipping room service it is expected to do it at every use or at the end when all other onboard gratuities are given? And what is an appropriate tip amount? Thank you.

    Welcome Aboard, Aliesha!
Congratulations on booking your first Disney Cruise! One of the main reasons my family loves cruising with Disney is because there's so much included in the cruise fare: comfortable, roomy accommodations, incredible dining, sports and recreation, youth clubs, beautiful ports of call, and amazing entertainment. Disney Cruise Line takes care of all the details, and provides you with excellent personalized customer service. On a Disney Cruise, you're sure to feel like a V.I.P. from start to finish!

One great perk that we appreciate is the 24-hour room service. Normally we would shy away from overpriced room service treats while on vacation - but not on a Disney Cruise! We like to order an "All Hands On Deck" cheese platter (or two) to enjoy while we get ready for dinner, or end the day with some warm chocolate chip cookies. Craving a Mickey Ice Cream Bar? While not "officially" on the Room Service menu, if you ask, you shall receive!

It's customary to tip with every room service delivery. We usually keep an envelope with small bills in our stateroom safe, so we have cash on hand for tips. $1-2 per person is usually a good rule of thumb when tipping a room service steward.

Hope this information is helpful! Please let us know if you have any more planning questions.

    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
