Knowing which attractions might be closed for refurbishment is an important part of Disney World vacation planning. Fortunately, there is a great resource for Guests!
If you visit the
Disney World day calendar on the Disney World website, you can see the attractions that are closed for refurbishment. Once you’ve got the day calendar on your screen, you can select one or multiple parks to view. You’ll notice a “Closed for Refurbishment” link at the bottom of the listing for each park. Click on that link and a list of attractions will appear. The list of attractions that are closed for refurbishment is updated frequently. It is important to note that attractions might close without notice.
T., more exciting than the refurbishment list are the attractions that have recently reopened from refurbishment or, as Walt Disney liked to say, have been reimagined! At Disney World, that impressive list includes Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, both at Magic Kingdom! Over at Animal Kingdom, be sure to check out the new Zootopia: Better Together show (very cute for the whole family)! At EPCOT, both Test Track and Frozen Ever After recently reopened from refurbishment. Finally, at Disney's Hollywood Studios, hop on the newly reopened
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets! You can also visit Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After and the
Magic of Disney Animation, opening just before your visit on September 14!
