Ahoy there, Michelle!
Welcome aboard planDisney! A
placeholder reservation is like holding onto a little piece of Disney magic for your next adventure at sea—I love how it’s completely flexible, and the fact that you can get a full refund if you don’t use it makes it a no-brainer. Let’s track down that treasure!
The best place to find details about your placeholder is in your email inbox (don’t forget to check your spam folder). My crew and I were on
the Fantasy just a few weeks ago, and you better believe I took advantage of that future cruise discount—it’s hard to resist when you know another magical voyage is on the horizon! The subject line of my confirmation email was “Enchantment awaits,” but Disney’s pixie-dusted subject lines can change, so try searching for “Disney Cruise Line” or “Future Cruise Placeholder” if you’re not seeing it right away. That email is your golden ticket, with your reservation number, expiration date, and all the important terms and conditions.
Another place to check is your
Castaway Club dashboard on the Disney Cruise Line website. Once logged in, head to your cruise history, where you should see your placeholder reservation listed. While it won’t show all the details (like the expiration date), it will display your reservation number, which you’ll need when you’re ready to book (Disney can also look up the reservation number when you call). If you notice a random date listed there, don’t worry—it’s just a placeholder (pun intended) and doesn’t reflect the actual expiration date.
When you’re ready to turn that placeholder into your next adventure at sea, just give
Disney Cruise Line a call and they’ll help you navigate your way to your dream cruise. If you booked your cruise through a travel agent and opted to assign the placeholder to them, you’ll want to reach out to them directly to get your next sailing underway.
I hope this helps you find that future cruise treasure map! If you run into any rough waters, drop anchor back here and I’ll be happy to help chart the course.
Sea ya real soon with love in the air and magic everywhere,
Dustin
