Hey there, Keith. Welcome to
planDisney. I'm so glad you've stopped by to chit-chat about your upcoming
Walt Disney World vacation.
Keith, I also like arriving early on the day of my check-in at Walt Disney World. We typically drive to Walt Disney World and I try to leave earlier enough so we will get there well before the posted check-in time. This is not a problem at all. I think you'll be happy to know that you can access all of your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel benefits on the day that you check in. Everything is so connected now via your
MyDisneyExperience account that the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and the parking attendant booths will know that you are a hotel guest by simply scanning your MagicBand, Keys to the World card, or even your phone.
One thing I recommend doing if you know you are going to arrive early is to utilize the
online check-in feature. This greatly helps the resort hotel that you are staying at prepare for your early arrival. You never know, you may even get lucky and be able to access your room well ahead of time by doing this. You can check in online 60 days prior to your vacation via your MyDisneyExperience account, Keith. During the online check-in process, you'll be asked for a credit card to put on file, your anticipated arrival time, your address, phone number, and the Guests also staying in your room. You can also opt-in to receive alerts via text message or email to notify you when your room is ready. By doing the online check-in you are able to bypass the lobby and head straight to your room when you receive the text message. You'll be given your room number and a detailed map of the resort to help you find your way.
I hope this helps, Keith. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help!
Have fun!
Jackie H.
