We are go to Disneyworld for the 1st time without our children & will be buying alcohol in the parks. We don't drive so don't have drivers licenses & are worried about carrying our passports around with us. What can we use as proof of age?

Hello, Davinia. I've been known to sneak off a few times a year with either just my friends or my husband for an adult only trip to Walt Disney World.

Here are the guidelines for purchasing alcohol at Walt Disney World:
    • Alcoholic beverages can be purchased at Walt Disney World by all Guests 21 years of age or older
Any Guest who wishes to purchase an alcoholic beverage at the Walt Disney World Resort must present one of the following valid forms of identification:
    • U.S. state driver’s license (includes U.S. territories*)
    • U.S. state ID (includes U.S. territories*)
    • Original passport
    • Copy of passport (either on paper or captured on a mobile device), along with a government-issued photo ID
    • NEXUS card issued by the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (Canadian Guests only)
    • All Guests visiting from outside of the United States are required to present both a valid passport as well as another form of government-issued photo ID from their country of origin.
Things to note, foreign driver's licenses or ID cards are not acceptable by themselves and the Walt Disney World Resort reserves the right to refuse sale and/or service of alcoholic beverages to anyone. It seems like no matter what, you'll need to carry your passport with you around the parks and you'll need to get some form of a government-issued photo ID before your trip.

Now that that's all taken care of, let's talk cocktails! You can find so many great ones all over Walt Disney World. A few of my favorites are the avocado margarita from La Cava in Epcot, a Lapu Lapu from the Tambu Lounge at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and the Tempting Tigress at Nomad Lounge in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

    Happy Sipping!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
