We want to go to Disneyland Resort for three days. Can we make only one of those days a park hopper and have the other two be one-park-per-day tickets?

Hi there, Holly! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for trusting us with your question. I love helping my fellow guests from my home state of Washington!

I'm happy to hear you're thinking about a three-day visit to Disneyland Resort and I think you'll really be able to optimize your time by utilizing the Park Hopper option on your ticket. Now, I understand you are considering adding the Park Hopper option to one of your days, but I want to let you know that currently, the cost to do so is the same for all the days of your multi-day ticket. Unfortunately, there is no option to make a single-day upgrade to a Park Hopper ticket. However, that means that should you choose to add on the Park Hopper benefit, you will pay just one fee that covers the entirety of your multi-day ticket. So, you'll be able to enjoy both theme parks every day of your visit, whether you choose to use it just once or all three days!

One of the best things about Disneyland Resort is the proximity of both theme parks. And you'll be visiting during a banner year: the 100th-anniversary celebration of the Walt Disney Company! The Disney100 Celebration at Disneyland Resort will feature new nighttime spectaculars including Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland Park and World of Color - ONE at Disney California Adventure Park. And you won't want to miss the newest attraction at Disneyland Park, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. If you have any live entertainment fans in your travel party, make time to enjoy "Magic Happens" Parade, which is my absolute favorite parade of all time! From all-new floats, to original music, to the incredible costuming, "Magic Happens" tells an incredible story of believing in the magic that finds us in the most unexpected places. I hope you love it as much as my family and I do!

With all the exciting offerings at Disneyland Resort in 2023, I think the addition of the Park Hopper options is a really great benefit to maximize guests' time and flexibility during their visit. And even more good news is in store for you, Holly! Starting February 4, Park Hopper tickets will allow guests access to move between both theme parks starting at 11:00 a.m. - an extra two hours of magic in your day!

I hope this helps offer you a bit more clarity on the Park Hopper ticketing option at Disneyland Resort, Holly. If you ever have any more questions, please feel welcome to come back to planDisney so I or my fellow panelists can offer our best tips and recommendations for your upcoming visit.

I wish you the most magical adventure ahead,
