If you go to Disneyland and it opens at 9 but magic morning is at 8, and you do not have access to the magic morning at what time can you get into the park onto main street? What time can you get into the park if you do have access to the magic morning?

Welcome Wayne! We’re happy to have you here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Sounds like your planning a fun-filled trip to the “Happiest Place on Earth!” If you’re like me, you like to get there right at park opening to make the most out of your day at the parks!

If you don’t have Magic Morning access, the time you are allowed into the park and onto Main Street U.S.A. can vary from day to day. I have personally been let in as much as 15 minutes early or as little as one minute early from normal operating hours. But either way, you are only allowed onto Main Street U.S.A. and into a holding area. You will not be let in any further until the exact opening time for that day even if there are already other people enjoying the park with Magic Morning access.

There are two ways to get early admission into Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. If you purchase a 3+ day ticket, you will be allowed to select one Magic Morning day where you will be allowed to enter Disneyland Park one hour before official opening time for the day. So if park opening was at 9:00 am to the general public, you would be allowed to enter at 8:00 am and begin to enjoy select attractions, stores and entertainment. Current Magic Morning days at Disneyland Park are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I would make sure to check the schedule before you go to make sure one of those days aligns with your trip.

The second way to get early admission into the parks is by staying in one of the three hotels at the Disneyland Resort. This will give you access to Extra Magic Hour. Registered Disneyland Resort hotel guests, with valid theme park admission, will enjoy admission to select attractions, stores and entertainment at either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park for one hour before official opening time for the day. So, with Extra Magic Hour and valid theme park admission, you will enjoy early admission to one of the two parks, everyday, for the length of your stay. I would also make sure to check the schedule when planning your stay to ensure you get in early to the park of your choice.

Wayne, no matter what option you choose, you’re already ahead of the game by planning to get there as soon as you can!

Remember, always believe in the magic!
