    We go to Disney World mid December. Are there any events or activities for Steamboat Willie's 90th birthday this year? ~Tiffanie

    Hi Tiffanie and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    Sing along with me: Happy birthday, dear Mickey! Happy birthday to you! It’s Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday TODAY and we are celebrating in my house!

    On Friday, no fewer than NINETY (that’s 90!) Disney characters appeared on the Cinderella Castle forecourt stage to wish Mickey a happy birthday weekend. While that was a one-time event, it really set the stage for a spectacular celebration.

    There are so many amazing Mickey’s birthday treats being offered over Mickey’s birthday weekend, and while they are officially set to only be offered over this weekend, I’ve got my fingers crossed that they’re so popular that some are still available during your visit. There are also tons of merchandise and treat offerings at Disney Springs. Be sure to ask a Cast Member at your resort or in the parks, as they will always have the most up-to-date information about birthday celebrations. Also, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest news and announcements.

    If you’re looking for celebrations specific to Steamboat Willie, I’ve seen some really cute merchandise, and there was a special cupcake being offered at the BoardWalk Bakery this weekend. Don’t forget you can spot him at the end of Fantasmic! too.

    Tiffanie, how exciting that you’re just a few weeks away from your Walt Disney World vacation. I just returned from a wonderful Disney week, and I can tell you that you are in for so much good cheer and holiday magic in the parks and resorts.
