Hi, Kim!
I’m thrilled that you’re planning a vacation to the
Disneyland Resort. I know you’re going to have an amazing time exploring the Happiest Place on Earth here on the West Coast!
Personally, I like to spend at least three to five days at the Disneyland Resort to take in all it has to offer, from attractions, to entertainment, to dining, to shopping and recreation. It’s a great idea to build downtime into your schedule so you can rest, account for jet lag, and explore the Disneyland Resort Hotels and Downtown Disney District in addition to the theme parks without feeling rushed. Disneyland Park may be smaller in size than Magic Kingdom Park, but it is rich with attractions and history. After all, you’ll be walking in the footsteps of Walt Disney himself!
Be sure to explore Cars Land and ride
Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure Park. Pay close attention to the Cadillac Mountain Range—the six range peaks represent Cadillac tail fins from 1957-1962! I like to see Cars Land during the day and also at night when its neon lights are aglow. During
World of Color, Disney California Adventure Park’s nighttime spectacular, characters come to life as more than 1,000 jets of water dance to the music and form a colorful medley of fantasy. It’s unlike anything you’ve seen in a Disney Park before!
I hope this helps, Kim, and that you have a wonderfully pixie-dusted visit with your family! Please write back with any other planning questions you have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
