Welcome back to planDisney Denise, and thank you for bringing us your question! Planning a visit to
Walt Disney World Resort is always exciting, and finding ways to make it more budget friendly is a smart move. Whether it’s your first visit or one of many, I’d be happy to share how you can make your trip more affordable and manageable by making payments over time.
One of the easiest ways to visit Walt Disney World on a budget and still be able to make payments is by booking a
vacation package directly through Disney. This allows guests to bundle their hotel stay and theme park tickets together. When booking a package, Disney currently requires a $200 deposit upfront, and the remaining balance can be paid over time, as long as the full amount is paid at least 30 days before check-in. Guests can log into their
My Disney Experience account at any time to make payments in the amount and frequency that works best for them.
For those looking to save money, visiting during less busy times of the year like late January, early February, or early fall can help lower the overall cost of the trip. Staying at one of Disney’s Value Resorts, such as the All-Stars or
Pop Century Resorts, offers the most affordable on property options while still including perks like early park entry and free Disney transportation.
Guests are also welcome to bring their own food and drinks into the parks, which can help save on dining costs. Another helpful tip is to gradually purchase
Disney gift cards over time. These gift cards can be used to pay for the vacation or for purchases during the trip.
If you prefers not to book a package, you can buy park tickets separately, though this option usually requires payment in full at the time of purchase and does not offer a payment plan. For flexibility and ease, the vacation package is the best route for those who want to pay over time and still enjoy a magical Disney experience on a budget.
I hope you find this information helpful, Denise. Thank you again for visiting planDisney. We'll see ya real soon!
