Hi Alfredo!
Celebrating a family vacation at Disneyland for Thanksgiving is a perfect idea. My own family has used this holiday for years to have a reunion of sorts at the Disney parks.
Disneyland has three Disney operated
Resorts. All three will offer a great Disney experience and it will basically depend on your budget as to which one to enjoy for a holiday.
The Grand Californian is at the top of the price point but it also is the resort located right on the Downtown Disney street as well as the park entrances. In fact they even have their own entrance to the California Adventure Park.
My favorite is actually the middle tier resort, the Disneyland Hotel. I love this resort for its iconic place in Disney history and stayed there when I was a young girl. It is located at the end of the Downtown Disney area but still only a short walk to the parks.
The third resort is Paradise Pier and it is their lowest tier. Again it will offer amenities but the feel is nothing more then another hotel anywhere else in the country. It is a bit of a walk to the parks but certainly doable. You also have some "good Neighbor" choices which are hotels that work with Disney to provide guests with a little more magic. Their locations are fairly close to the Disney property and always a good option if the Disney resorts are booked. All resorts will offer great dining, pools, and recreation opportunities.
Please remember that any holiday at any Disney location is going to be busy so be sure and get reservations for lodging as well as dining as far ahead as you can. Thanksgiving Day will especially be a sought after meal so a reservation is indeed necessary.
Enjoy your California trip and the wonderful weather that is sure to greet you as well as the Disney magic!
