How can i go to my disney resort hotel from the airport? The disney magical express its not available any more?

    Howdy Yazmin,

Welcome back to planDisney! We are so honored that you continue to come to us for your planning questions. Even though Disney's Magical Express is no longer operating, there are multiple ways that you can choose for transportation from Orlando International Airport to your Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel (including the return of the Minnie Van Service!!).

When I travel to Walt Disney World Resort, I prefer to rent a car. I love the flexibility of having my own vehicle to get around the resort. However, Walt Disney World Resort has incredible transportation available to you once you are on property, so a rental car might not be the best choice for you and your family. The most popular options for travel from Orlando International Airport are traveling via bus and rideshare.

    Bus Services
For a seamless shuttle experience that is similar to Disney's Magical Express from Orlando International to your resort hotel, consider using Mears Connect or Sunshine Flyer. Both services offer shared transportation from the airport to your new home away from home (Mears also provides an Express service if you prefer). Also, if you are traveling with car seats for little Mouseketeers, you would be able to use them on both services; but you wouldn't be required to travel with one. Please visit their websites to pre-book and learn more about Mears Connect or Sunshine Flyer.

    Rideshare and Minnie Van Service
Another popular option for Guests is rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft. With rideshare, you don't have to worry about traveling with other Guests because it will just be you and your family. It is definitely a direct way to get to your resort hotel. Another plus is that since Orlando International Airport is such a large airport, you likely won't have to wait for long for an available vehicle.

In exciting news, did you hear that the Disney Minnie Van Service-Connected by Lyft is returning this summer?! While I don't have the specific dates yet, there is a chance it will be available by your August trip. The Minnie Van Service is such a fantastic Disney-themed way to travel around Walt Disney World Resort and to and from Orlando International Airport. Each Minnie Van can accommodate up to six Guests and six suitcases and can be equipped with up to three car seats. Also, who wouldn't love riding around in polka dots?!

I hope I've given you enough information to help you make the best choice for yourself and your family! If there is anything else you need, please let us know.

    Happy Planning!
