Can you go to a Disney resort and eat at their cafeteria if you’re not staying there?

    Hi Nicole!

    Welcome to planDisney!

While we are in this ever-evolving situation with many considerations and restrictions in place, we are not being encouraged to visit Disney Resort hotels just to look around (when usually this is welcomed), or to visit any Quick-Service dining locations at Resort hotels other than where we are staying.  However, you can make a dining reservation at a Table-Service restaurant at another hotel, thus giving you the opportunity to enjoy the ambience of a different Resort and a lovely meal too!  Subject to availability, you can make your dining reservations up to 60 days in advance, either online, or by using your My Disney Experience mobile app.  I recommend that you make your reservations as early as possible as restaurants are operating on a reduced capacity at this time, so it may be more challenging to secure a table at your preferred choices.  Keep trying though!  Cancellations do occur, so you might be successful nearer the time.

We may need a little more considered and careful planning during this evolving situation, but our vacations to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience.  Please read this information about Returning to a World of Magic, and Dining: Know Before You Go, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official updates as they are announced.  Depending on when you are visiting, things may have changed, so I recommend you check the current information about Disney Resort hotels here.

Please come back and ask as many questions as you like!  We are always happy to help you plan your vacation.
