Hi Caitlin,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Our girls were 5-years old when they first visited the Walt Disney World Resort. It is such a perfect age for little ones to visit!
After you review the
Planning Guide for Preschool Kids & Little Ones, decide which attractions you will prioritize for your daughter. The good news is that she is still young, so you can guide her through the parks and skip the rides that may be too much. The Barnstormer was one of our girls' favorite rides at that age. It is a roller coaster that is great for little ones, just enough speed! Your little one might also be tall enough for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. It was our girls' first big kid roller coaster.
I have to admit, there are drops on some of the rides for little ones. Only you can determine how well you might be able to tolerate those drops. I can say that I do get motion sickness occasionally but have never experienced it on the rides for little ones! And, you can always take some time to do some character experiences, view the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade or take in other
entertainment.
Caitlin, be sure to check the
attractions list to make sure your daughter meets the height requirements for the rides she wants to experience. I also suggest that you check YouTube for videos of rides. We did this prior to bringing our girls for the first time to be sure we had some idea of what each ride experience would actually be.
Happy Planning!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
