We go to disney a lot but I want to take my kids to a new fun dinner experience. I am also bringing 15 of my soccer friends. I have done character meals, but want my kids to get a new experience also. Any suggestions. BTW we will be there Dec 31-Jan 4

Hi Julie! I love that you are wanting to find something new to try with your family and friends during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. So many times guests get into a rut of going to the same restaurants and they don't realize there is so much more to experience.

Since you are coming soon and during a very busy time the issue here is that you might have some difficulty in finding reservations. So many of the restaurants have been booked during the holiday time since the 180 day mark. There are always last minute cancelations but you have such a large group so not sure there will be much for you to choose from.

My first thought was either the Hoop Dee Doo Revue or Mickey's Backyard Barbecue which are both located in Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. These two events are quite different from the normal dinner shows or character dining and lots of fun for small or large groups. You might have better luck towards the end of your vacation.

My other thought for you is to check out all the new spots in Disney Springs. It is now one of my favorite places to spend time during my vacations as the shopping and dining and atmosphere are beyond amazing.  One of the places I can suggest that does not take reservations but is great is Blaze Pizza. For under $10 each person can build their own pizza from a multitude of toppings and sauces and cheese and have it booked in about three minutes. It gets busy during meal times but a wonderful place to try. Also check out the other dining options for reservations as they might have more openings here then in the parks and resorts.
