Hi Dana,
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations! How exciting to be planning your first trip to Walt Disney World. Let me offer you a few suggestions for getting started with your planning.
First, be sure to view the
Walt Disney World planning DVD. You can order this free of charge, and by watching it, you can begin to see the attractions, theme parks, and resorts that are interesting to you. You can decide if you want to visit all four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom, or if you will only be visiting some of them. You can also consider if you want to spend some time at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, or if you want to visit Disney Springs, the newly re-imagined dining, shopping, and entertainment district.
I suggest that one of the first things that you consider is which
Walt Disney World resort hotel will be right for your stay. There are a variety of options that range in theme and price. Which one you choose will depend on your family!
I suggest that you keep an eye on the
Walt Disney World Special Offers webpage. There are special offers listed for the summer, and you may find that one of these offers is appealing to you and your family. Some of these include theme park tickets, and some include dining plans. Again, which you choose will depend on your family's needs. I suggest that you call Disney at (407) 939-5277 to get started making your reservation.
I would love to help you plan more Dana; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
