Ahoy, Kalpesh!
Welcome aboard planDisney! Your upcoming adventure sounds like something straight out of a storybook—and not just because you’ll be
sailing on the Disney Dream! Cruising through Norway with ports like Olden and Mekjarvik will feel like stepping into the fjords of Frozen—don’t be surprised if Elsa waves her arms and makes it snow while you sail by those incredible cliffs and waterfalls.
When it comes to
ground transfers, I definitely recommend staying at one of Disney’s partner hotels. Doing so makes the transition from “land to sea” smooth as Peter Pan’s flight—you won’t have to worry about navigating London with suitcases in tow like Mary Poppins balancing a carpetbag and an umbrella.
For 2026, Disney has partnered with the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London and the Sofitel London Heathrow Hotel for resort-to-port transfers. Transfers are also available directly from London Heathrow or London Gatwick airports, so staying at nearby hotels (like the Hilton London Gatwick Hotel) may be another helpful option. To make sure all your plans are lined up “just around the riverbend,” I suggest
giving Disney Cruise Line a call so they can confirm and coordinate everything for your crew.
Now, one thing to note: transfers from London's City Center are not currently open for booking in 2026. In 2025, this option was offered for Guests not staying at a partner hotel, but there’s no guarantee it will return for your sailing year. That said, Disney often releases new offerings a bit closer to sailings, so I recommend checking in with them over the coming months. Once transfers are booked, you’ll receive an email with exact meeting times and details about five days before embarkation—that way you’ll know precisely when to pack up and head out.
I hope this helps you chart a smooth course for your journey! Planning ahead for transfers will ensure you can
start your adventure stress-free, with your sights set firmly on those Norwegian fjords. Before you know it, you’ll be walking onto the Dream with a smile wider than Olaf on a summer’s day.
Sea ya real soon as we ride the wave of summer’s final stretch in Disney style,
Dustin
