Welcome to planDisney, Carol. Theme park tickets and reservations are the bare necessities when it comes to your Disneyland Resort visit, so I'm glad to hear that you're confirming reservation availability in advance.
You can check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar at the Disneyland site before purchasing your tickets. Make sure to select the correct ticket type, as availability can vary depending on which type of ticket you purchase. If you purchase your ticket at the Disneyland site or in the
Disneyland app, you will only be able to purchase a ticket for days with available reservations. What's more, when you purchase your ticket directly on the website, a theme park reservation will be made for you during the purchase process. How's that for a little magic?
Once you have your tickets and park reservations, the fun part of planning really begins! You can make
dining reservations for select locations up to 60 days in advance. I always look forward to all of the delicious eats and treats for my visits, so this is where I usually start. If you haven't already, I recommend downloading the Disneyland app for your trip. It's a handy tool with a map of the resort, attraction wait times and (my favorite) the feature to
mobile order your food. There's even a guide to all of the
70th Celebration festivities if you're planning to visit before August 9th.
Carol, I hope that the information I shared is helpful and gets you to your next step. Please come back to see us with any other questions that you might have. Here's hoping that your visit date is available and that you'll be stepping into the magic at the Happiest Place on Earth soon!
