Want to go w the cheapest resort option. Being a family of 5 (youngest 3) the cheapest option i have found is POR. Would prefer to stay at a more disney themed resort but even 2 rooms at a POP is more $. will the kids like POR? seems to b for couples

    Hi Mandi!

I totally understand!  Not only are we a family of 5 as well, but I LOVE the over the top theming found at the Value Resorts.  However, your lowest cost would be to stay in one room at Port Orleans Riverside in the Alligator Bayou section.  The rooms have been completely renovated and feature a super cute little flip down bed.  These rooms will also have 2 Queen beds, compared to the double beds in the Value Resorts.  The food court is fantastic, the resort is PACKED with families and there are tons of activities on site for your kiddos.  How about campfires, movies under the stars, pirate cruises and surrey bike rides???

Of course, you also mentioned getting 2 rooms at a Value Resort.  This is more expensive, but it does offer more room.  Another alternative would be to get a Family Suite at the BRAND new Art of Animation Resort.  These offer kitchenettes, two bathrooms and plenty of sleeping choices.  However, they start at $248 per night.  Quite a bit more!

You won't be disappointed in Port Orleans Riverside!  I want to share a great website with you - PortOrleans.org.  Your kids can check out pics of the rooms, pools, restaurants and more.  Have a fabulous vacation and keep those questions coming!
