Ahoy, Cristina!
Thanks for cruising by the Moms Panel. I'm happy to answer a question about my favorite spot in all the world - Disney Cruise Line's private island,
Castaway Cay! There's nothing better than a day spent on this beautiful island, with lots of fun activities to enjoy and a delicious BBQ lunch!
The private cabanas on the island are the ultimate in luxury, and are located along the Family Beach and Serenity Bay. Cabana guests are provided beach chairs and a hammock, and a fridge stocked with water and soda. Guests will also find a supply of sunscreen to use for a day of fun in the sun! Cabana attendants are on hand to help with any needs during the day.
Due to the limited number of cabanas, they book very quickly and can be a tough reservation to secure. Concierge guests and certain Castaway Club members are able to book up to 120 days in advance, and are some of the first to reserve these private getaways.
If you're unable to secure a cabana reservation before your cruise, I encourage you to keep checking back. Reservations can be cancelled up to three days before your sail date. You never know - one might become available! You can also stop by the Port Adventures desk once you're onboard and ask about availability.
If you're not able to reserve one of these exclusive cabanas - no worries. There are many lovely areas all around the island to enjoy your day. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided free of charge, and are plentiful. We like to find a spot near Pelican Plunge - a fun, floating water playground, with slides and water features.
My fingers are crossed for you that you'll be able to reserve one of the cabanas for your cruise. Here's hoping the pixie dust falls into place! - Diane W.
