Hi Susan!
Yo ho, yo ho a pirates life for you! The X marks the spot on the Eastern Caribbean for your Disney cruise. Hope that you are already counting down the days until setting sail with Captain Mickey!
I love hearing that you and your pirate crew will get to plunder for treasure through The Baths. We explored this natural wonder and loved every minute of hiking and climbing. This national park is a definite must while sailing in the BVI! Here's a tip: Bring comfortable shoes because the terrain can be rough and a waterproof case/bag to protect your phone because you will want to take plenty of photos of this stunning site.
If your ashore excursion ends at 5:00 p.m., you'll have time to get ready for your pirate feast, served during
rotational dining. If you are dining in the First Seating which is usually starts around 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., you may feel slightly rushed, but it can be done. Plenty of time to grab those bandanas, hooks, and eye patches! And don’t feel like anyone will make you walk the plank if you are a few minutes late to your dining rotation.
The
Pirate Night activities start typically at 7:45 p.m. with the Pirates in the Caribbean deck party. And the grand finale caps off the evening with a Buccaneer Blast party followed by fireworks at sea (weather permitting). These swashbuckling events take place after the Second Seating is completed. So there's no reason you will miss out on any of the Pirate Night fun. Being a Pirates of the Caribbean fan, I love the overall cheerful spirit and energy during Pirate Night. No other cruise ship has fireworks at sea; guess that makes Disney Cruise Line like the Black Pearl as the standout in all of the seven seas!
So get your
packing list ready and your luggage packed with pirate garb. And be sure to bring your “compass” to the ship in the form of the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app on your mobile device. The app will steer you in the right direction as far as the dinner start times, live shows, Pirate Night events, and character meet and greets with none other than Jack Sparrow. Oops, I forgot to call him Captain...make sure you don’t do that!
Sail back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions about your upcoming high seas adventure.
SEA ya real soon!
