We will go to Animal Kingdom the first day we arrive on vacation (7/7/18), and when I select Fast Passes, I read that we can only select one of the 2 popular Avatar rides. Which ride would you recommend to get the Fast Pass for, or stand in line, and why?

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. It's great to hear you're planning to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom and especially great to hear you’re planning to explore Pandora – The World of Avatar.

I had the opportunity to explore Pandora on two recent trips, and I simply can’t wait to return. Avatar Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey are both amazing and immersive experiences, and I enjoy each of them.

Na'vi River Journey is a beautiful and serene reed boat rainforest tour. Each time I tour, my eye catches new details and spots new creatures I hadn’t seen before.

Personally, I find Flight of Passage a breathtaking, thrilling, and visually stunning experience. I really do feel like I'm soaring the skies mounted on the back of a living, breathing banshee. The attraction standby queue for Flight of Passage is quite expansive, and it is not uncommon for the queue to extend beyond Pandora. For that reason alone, given a choice, I would select Flight of Passage for my FastPass+. I'd then join the standby queue for Na'vi River Journey and, who knows, maybe even return to Flight of Passage in the standby queue.

If you are staying at a select resort, look for Extra Magic Hours in the morning and enjoy attractions before scheduled opening hours.

    Enjoy your time on Pandora!
