Howdy, Erin! Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with another question!
Oh how I wish I could tell you there are gluten-free churros at the Disneyland Resort, but unfortunately all the different varieties of churros that I’ve come across contain gluten. I have heard that Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park at the Walt Disney World Resort introduced gluten-free churros at the Nomad Lounge recently, so perhaps we aren’t too far away from having gluten-free churro options at the Disneyland Resort.
So while you will need to pass by the churro carts during your next visit, there are still lots of gluten-friendly snacks to try throughout the parks. One of the newest gluten-free additions is the blackberry jam-filled IncrediCookie available at
Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums on Pixar Pier.
Sprinkles in the Downtown Disney District typically has one gluten-free flavor available (most commonly red velvet) in addition to offering a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie. Different types of macarons are available at the parks and are gluten free simply because traditional macarons are made with almond flour.
When you are dining at a quick- or table-service restaurant, simply ask to see an allergy menu to discover which items are safe to eat for those with wheat sensitivities. Also, several restaurants now provide their allergy menus online or on the
Disneyland app. You can also ask to speak to a chef or specially-training Cast Member if you have any questions.
I hope your visit to the Disneyland Resort is full of magic and memories!
