13 glorious nights sched for WL 2nd trip. 1st on Disney property. So EXCITED! Are all the rooms in that horseshoe shape around the main pool or are the buildings near the quiet pool part of lodge or are those the villas? Wondering where to request room

    Hi Dena,

Wow!  Thirteen nights at Disney's Wilderness Lodge - what a great trip!  Disney's Wilderness Lodge has a beautiful Pacific Northwest turn-of-the-century National Park theme.  It is so lovely and serene.

As Disney Vacation Club members, my family has stayed at the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge in the past.  The villas are a separate building from the main lodge.  If you exit the lobby of Disney's Wilderness Lodge and walk down a little path, you will come upon a separate building with its own entrance and lobby which houses the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  Since I believe you are staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, not the villas, you will be in what you describe as the horseshoe-shaped building around the main pool.  The main pool is the Silver Creek Springs Pool.  The quiet pool, called the Hidden Springs pool, is located nearer to the Villas side of the property.  It would be possible to be in a room in the main lodge that was close to the quiet pool, but you would still be in the main Wilderness Lodge horseshoe-shaped building.

As to where to request a room at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, it depends on what your family is looking for.  Some people do not like rooms that overlook the main lobby as it can be loud; however, others like this active feel.  Some people also prefer a higher floor as they like the views better from up high, while others prefer to be on a lower floor.

I hope this helps to answer your question, Dena.  Please do not hesitate to come back and ask if you have any further questions!
