Can you get the glitter pixie dust sprinkle at Magic kingdom? My daughter saw the glitter on another girl last trip and wants JUST the glitter on her hair.

    Hi there, Nina!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

It sounds like you have a sweet princess in your travel party who appreciates the joy a little glitter can bring! On your last visit to Walt Disney World Resort, she was probably admiring a young guest that had received a royal transformation at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Unfortunately, the Boutique has not yet reopened, and princess makeovers are still on hold. That being said, Guest experiences and offerings are slowly being reintroduced as Walt Disney World Returns to a World of Magic, and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique could come back with royal fanfare before we can say "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo"! I'm sure the Fairy Godmothers-In-Training are eager to get back to Cinderella Castle to create magic for little ones as soon as they can. Disney is using careful consideration regarding bringing back beloved Guest experiences, and I'm sure they will bring back this Enchanting Extra as soon as it is safe to do so.

In the absence of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, my fellow planDisney panelist Ashley made plans to give her daughter her own DIY princess makeover in their Disney Resort hotel room! You can read all about her plans for her royal makeover for her daughter  - she has some awesome ideas for her preschooler!

Another place that treats Guests to a "glittering" of sorts is Harmony Barbershop on Main Street U.S.A. The Victorian-style shop is the perfect place for a child's first haircut, a quick touch-up for an older kid, or an adult haircut or beard trim before heading into Magic Kingdom Park to enjoy the day. Most visits end with a touch of "pixie dust", and you can spot satisfied customers by the Mickey-shaped glitter in their hair after they leave. The shop is currently on pause as well, but my fingers are crossed it can reopen soon.

If your daughter would like to feel like a princess and tour Walt Disney World in her very own ball gown, I encourage you to stop by Sir Mickey's in Magic Kingdom Park for a wide selection of gowns and accessories inspired by favorite Disney Princesses. Also, make sure to keep an eye out for The Royal Princess Processional throughout the day, where she can see her favorite Disney royalty pass through Magic Kingdom on a gorgeous float, greeting Guests!

I hope you and your daughter make memories to last a lifetime on your next visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
