Hello again Elisa, I'd like to wish you a very Royal welcome back to planDisney!
I hope that I was able to help you out
with your previous question, and am so glad to see that you've come back to ask about one of the most magical dining experiences that anyone can have across the Disney Theme Parks worldwide! There's really something special about snagging one of the coveted reservations to
Cinderella's Royal Table; even having been once before in the past there's also something special about experiencing it first thing in the morning to have relatively empty moments around Cinderella Castle, or being one of the last tables of the evening to exit into a quiet
Magic Kingdom Park after closing time.
You'll be happy to hear that as a fellow child-at-heart well over the age of 11, I was able to snag myself a sword at our most recent visit this year. We noticed tables of teenagers and adults alike receiving swords and wands, and others politely letting just the younger members of their table enjoy them. Either way, I spoke with a friendly Cast Member who let me know that it's always worth asking for one and they are often happy to oblige as long as they have some available. (In fact, they let me know that as with anything offerings are always subject to availability and can never be guaranteed as they may change without prior notice - it's worth inquiring early prior to checking in your for reservation just to avoid any expectations or disappointment!)
I love that the
Inclusion Key is at the heart of so many things across The Walt Disney Company and it's nice to see that there are certain steps gradually being made like girls not having a choice in receiving only wands or boys not automatically receiving swords due to assumptions made about what they're interested in based on gender as it seemed to be previously. We see this at the nearby
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique through the Fairy Godmother's Apprentices and it's just nice that everyone can live their own fairy tale the way that they want, so I hope that when your daughter gets the opportunity to be presented with a sword, that she wields that weaponry proudly! (Of course, while keeping sword safety at the forefront.)
It's definitely quite a year to celebrate headstrong heroines who break barriers and defy expectations across locations at Walt Disney World Resort and it's been great to see the response to
Moana's recent arrival to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If you're planning on visiting closer to the end of the year, you might even have the chance to
meet Mirabel not too far from Cinderella Castle! I'd be happy to
receive more of your questions here at planDisney as they come, I'm always glad to be able to help fellow Canadian fans of the Most Magical Place on Earth.
All the best on your daughter's quest to receive the special sword she deserves!
Prince
