Hi moms, we are giving our boys ages 4 and 10 a trip to WDW in 2/13 for one of their Christmas presents, I was wondering if you guys had any ideas that I could wrap up and give them for Christmas. I am excited to see their look when they get this gift.

Our very first trip to Walt Disney World was a surprise for my then six, three and one-year-old daughters, Shelly.  To break the news of the surprise, we bought each of them a plush stuffed Mickey and presented those with a card that read: "You're going to Disney World!".  That is one idea for you.  Since your trip is a Christmas gift, you might buy a Walt Disney World Christmas ornament for each child.  You could also buy Disney pajamas and slippers.  Another idea would be to buy autograph books and big, chunky pens (those are the easiest for the characters to sign with) and break the news that way.  If you wanted to be super creative, you could even create a Disney scrapbook and a buy a couple of those sturdy digital cameras meant for kids and tell them that they'll have to be sure to take enough pictures to fill their scrapbooks when they go to Disney World in February.  The possibilities are endless.  Good luck with your surprise, and have a magical trip!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
