Ahoy, Laura! Thank you for bringing your Disney Cruise Line question over to planDisney. I see that you will be setting sail on a 7-Night Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver aboard the
Disney Magic this August and are looking to add an extra special celebratory meal for your wedding anniversary.
I am happy to report that
Palo Brunch is offered on the Glacier Viewing (Stikine Icecap) day that you will be onboard because it is still technically a day at sea that the ship is not in port. Remember that you can start making Palo reservations once your cruise balance is paid in full and your
advance booking window opens, which is determined by your
Castaway Club membership level or status as a concierge guest. If you are a first-time guest, then the advance booking window opens 75 days prior to sail date, but the earliest advance booking window opens 130 days prior to sail date for concierge guests. To determine your exact advance booking window, click on the “Already Booked” tab at the top of the main website, then select the option that says “My Reservations.” You will be able to see your cruise information and there will be a box on the right labeled “Cruise Activities” that specifies the date that you can start booking. Since there are limited reservations for Palo Brunch, I highly recommend logging on the day that your advance booking window opens at midnight Eastern Time (EST) for the best availability. Remember that if you are unable to get a reservation for any reason, you can also check with Guest Services on embarkation day and ask them for a complimentary anniversary celebration button while you’re there.
Palo Brunch is my absolute favorite
adult-exclusive dining experience because you still get to indulge in the exquisite Italian cuisine without having to miss any of the regular rotational dining dinner menus. My personal must-have brunch items are the parmesan-crusted chicken breast, margherita flatbread, and Italian zabaglione for dessert. But no matter which items you decide to try, I’m sure that the decadent Palo Brunch menu combined with the gorgeous glacier views will provide the perfect combination for your anniversary celebration.
