Hiya, pal! Katie, welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You’ve come to the right place if you want some tips to help with your Baby Herc or Rapunzel at the dinner table. I’ve been taking my baby girl to the parks since before she could walk, with no signs of stopping soon.
When my family made
dinner reservations at that stage of life, we traveled without a car seat, too. There are so many baby friendly options at
Walt Disney World Resort! Since baby girl couldn’t yet sit up (which made the highchair a no-go), and we didn’t have a baby carrier (we couldn’t then use the Baby Koala car seat sling), I chose to bring my Baby K’Tan Active with me, a mesh, soft baby carrier (that breathes in the heat!) so I could hip carry her while we ate. It was easy to keep both of us fed and entertained through the meal while keeping her supported, but also giving me hands to hold the menu and eat myself. It was a double bonus for the buffet lines where I needed to hold my plate.
All that being said, my fellow dinner mates were always eager to hold the little lady while I ate, or chose dessert. I think you’ll know what to do, but I highly recommend that soft baby wearing option. Keep in mind that babies under 3 eat for free, so if your baby wanted to gum on a roll or other item, you can rest easy. I hope you have a magical vacation, and please let me know if you have further questions. We’ll see ya real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
