Hi Emily! I'm excited to welcome you to the planDisney table to dish about Disney dining plans! I'm a big fan of being able to bundle my meals into my vacation package; to me, it makes it feel more inclusive and my husband loves that we never get a bill at the end of a meal because it's all been paid for in advance!
There are currently two options for
Disney dining plans, so I'm going to give you the breakdown of each one and the current adult and child prices in US dollars to help with your planning. Keep in mind that pricing is always subject to change, so it's a good idea to check for updates before making your final plans or when adding a meal plan to your vacation package!
Option 1:
Disney Quick Service Dining Plan - Adult Price: $57.01/person/night of stay
- Child Price: $23.83/person/night of stay (available to guests ages 3-9)
The Disney Quick Service Dining Plan is a great option for active families who prefer to grab meals on the go as they navigate their time in the parks. The plan includes two counter-service meals for each person on the plan for each night of your vacation package, one snack per person per night, and a resort-refillable mug that can be used for beverages at any Disney Resort hotel for the length of your visit (up to 14 days). Each quick-service meal includes an entree and a non-alcoholic beverage (or alcoholic beverages for guests 21 years of age or older).
Option 2:
Disney Dining Plan - Adult Price: $94.28/person/night of stay
- Child Price: $29.69/person/night of stay (available to guests ages 3-9)
The Disney Dining Plan allows families to slow down and enjoy some table-service meals, character dining experiences, and even dinner shows throughout their vacation. It's a great option for families who want to incorporate time to reconnect over a meal, take a rest from the hustle and bustle of the parks, or experience some of the finer dining options at the parks and resorts. This plan includes one counter service meal and one table service meal per person per night of your visit, as well as one snack per person per night and a resort-refillable mug.
So how do you choose? My best advice is to consider your family's budget and vacation style and choose the plan that works best for you! There's no wrong way to dine at Disney, and there's no shortage of offerings on either of the plans! You can also take advantage of
Mobile Ordering when using both plans and you can easily track all of your meals and snacks on the
My Disney Experience mobile app. One other flexible benefit to the meal plans is that all of your meals and snacks will become available for use on the day of check-in and expire at midnight on your check-out day, so you can use them at your discretion and preference throughout your visit! This is particularly good news for that day you want an extra Mickey bar or festival snack while strolling through EPCOT!
Emily, I hope this helps you decide which dining plan will work best for your upcoming visit! Come back to
planDisney if we can help with anything else! You're always welcome to be our guest!
Bon Appetit,
Alison
