Could you give me your opinion on whether 2/23-2/28 or 4/20-4/25 are better travel dates? Taking all things into consideration. Thank you!

    Hi Kelly!

Obviously, I think ANYTIME is the perfect time to go to Walt Disney World, but, you are correct that certain factors can make some dates better than others.

The first thing I look at, when planning my trips, is the touringplans.com "crowd calendar".   They can predict what crowds will be like with surprising accuracy.  They rate the crowd level on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most crowded.  For both of your dates, the crowds look to be around an average of 4 for the week, so that shouldn't be a factor for you.

The second thing I look at is weather.  We try to avoid the hottest months if possible.  Both February and April have mild temperatures, but April may be the better choice if you are hoping to enjoy the water parks.

Lastly, I look at refurbishment schedules for the parks.  It can be disappointing to go to a park, only to find out that your favorite attraction is closed while you're there.  A good resource for attraction closings and refurbishments is wdwinfo.com.  You can also Google "Walt Disney World refurbishments" and you will find several websites with the information.  This would be personal preference, as we all have different favorite rides and attractions!

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your vacation!
