Hi Moms, We want to give my kids a present for Christmas that will tell them about our trip in March. Any ideas? Kids are DD, almost 5, and DS, almost 2. I've thought about wrapping up a Disney stuffed animal for each kid, any other ideas? Thanks!

    Hi Susan,

Incorporating your upcoming Disney trip into your Christmas gift giving is a perfect idea!  A family trip to Walt Disney World really is the ultimate gift, but it's not always possible, or practical to go during the Christmas season.

The stuffed animal idea is cute.  You could also get Mickey ears and and autograph book for each of them.  Are you planning on doing any character dining?  If you're thinking of dining with princesses, maybe you could get your little girl a princess costume to wear to the dinner.  I know small children like toys way more than clothes, but what about getting a special t-shirt with their favorite character.

You could also get them each a small, carry-on bag and fill it with some cute Disney surprises, coloring books, small figurines, play-doh -- anything that you might use to keep them occupied during their trip.  Yes, they'll probably use the stuff inside before the vacation, but you'll still have the individual bags in March, and it's makes for easy travel when kids are responsible for their own "stuff".

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
