    Hi Moms! Can you all give me some of your favourite highlights of holiday decorations at the various WDW resorts?

    Hello Kelly,

    I'm so delighted to hear that you are planning a holiday visit to Walt Disney World! This happens to be one of my favorite times of year to visit simply because of the extra magic you find during this special season. I absolutely love to tour the resort hotels and see all of their lovely decorations. Each resort has unique and festive trimmings, but here is list of my personal favorites.

    Over at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is a life-size gingerbread house that is amazing. Your senses are peaked as you enter the lobby and smell this nostalgic and scrumptious scent. It makes from some really fun photo opportunities and you can also find delicious treats for purchase, too. There are several other resorts that have gingerbread displays, but this one happens to be my favorite.

    If you are looking for something awe-inspiring, I suggest you visit the lobbies of both Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The towering trees are adorned with some really special ornaments that fit the themes of both of these resorts and seeing them within their majestic atrium lobbies always takes my breath away. Despite how many times I have seen them, my jaw always hits the floor as I am struck by the beauty of them.

    Last year, I was touched by a bit of personal nostalgia as I saw the miniature Christmas village over at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. My grandmother had a very similar one set up in her dining room, albeit a much smaller collection, every Christmas. This sure brought back childhood memories that warmed my heart as I enjoyed seeing the tiny little houses all lit with a holiday glow.

    Keep in mind that decorations in the resorts could change or vary from year to year, but I promise you won't be disappointed. Have a magical visit making wonderful holiday memories.
