Hi there, Daniel!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I'm happy to help.
I was super excited to hEAR that a brand new Cirque du Soleil show would be taking the place of "La Nouba", a Cirque production that ran for almost 20 years in a gorgeous custom-built theatre in
Disney Springs.
"Drawn to Life" has been advertised as a "love letter to the art of Disney animation", and tells the story of the daughter of a Disney animator that has left her one final gift - a series of unfinished drawings. Sadly, the show was never able to make it to the stage due to the unforeseen closing during the pandemic. How delighted I was to hear the show will be opening this November for Guests to enjoy!
What an amazing and thoughtful gift it would be to give "Drawn to Life" tickets as a gift! I can understand wanting to give a Cirque du Soleil gift card rather than a generic Disney Gift Card so you'll know it's being used to purchase tickets to the show. Unfortunately, I checked online and the Cirque du Soleil gift card program has been temporarily suspended. A creative way to possibly present your gift would be to print out a photo from the website with the title of the show, with a handmade certificate for tickets to the date of their choice. Then you could go online and purchase the tickets for them, once they've selected the perfect date they can attend the magical, musical show. I've gifted concert tickets to my daughters this way when I don't have the actual tickets in hand.
I hope this helps, and your friends enjoy your amazing, generous gift!
