I want to give Disneyland tickets to a nearby couple of families. How can I do that? (I am an Inspire card holder for what that's worth.)

Welcome to planDisney Tom, and thank you so much for reaching out with your question! It’s always heartwarming to hear about Guests wanting to share a little Disney magic, and gifting a Disneyland visit to other families is such a special way to do that. I’m happy to help you understand the options available so you can make the experience as smooth and magical as possible for everyone involved.

You can absolutely give Disneyland tickets to other families. The simplest way is to purchase Disneyland tickets directly from the official Disneyland website and mark the purchase as a gift during checkout. Disney allows this, and you can either enter the recipients’ email addresses so the tickets are sent directly to them, or use your own email if you want to present the gift yourself later. The tickets are issued as digital e-tickets, and once the families receive them, they can link the tickets to their own Disneyland accounts in the app. From there, they can manage park reservations and make date changes if needed.

If you’ve already purchased the tickets under your own account, you can still give them away. You can forward the confirmation email that includes the ticket numbers or “Access Your Tickets” link. Once the recipients add the tickets to their Disneyland app, the tickets effectively become theirs to manage. Another option is to use the Disneyland app’s Friends & Family features to assign or reassign tickets to other people, as long as they have or create their own Disneyland accounts.

If you’re not sure about dates or park options yet, Disney Gift Cards are a very flexible alternative. You can give the families a Disney Gift Card in the approximate amount of the tickets, and they can purchase their own tickets and make reservations when they’re ready. Any leftover balance can be used for food or merchandise in the parks.

Tom, I hope this information helps you feels excited about sharing the magic of Disneyland with the families you have in mind. Thank you so much for visiting planDisney with your generous and thoughtful question. Wishing you and the families you’re surprising plenty of smiles, unforgettable memories, and just the right amount of pixie dust along the way!
