Hi Marty!
Welcome to planDisney! Aren’t you sweet for wanting to surprise your daughters and their families with a Disney cruise! I always keep a Disney cruise on my Christmas wish list; it’s definitely a "one size fits all" kind of present.
To be sure, brochures of the
Disney ships and stunning views of the port destinations get me so excited about cruising, it’s not even funny! There’s just something about visuals (either photos or videos) that really place you in the future travel setting. That’s a phenomenal way to let your family know about your surprise.
However, Captain Mickey has gotten away from printed materials in favor of online resources because the paper versions can become obsolete very quickly. I know it’s not the same thing, but
Disney Cruise Line does have an e-brochure that will contain all the beautiful images and information about cruising that you are craving. Click this link to request the e-brochure as well as videos, and they will be immediately downloadable. Then you could print them out at home. I believe that if you checked with a local travel agency, then they might have some written materials/brochures.
Since you are planning on this being a holiday gift/surprise, might I suggest that you check out YouTube videos online sharing how other Guests surprised their families with a Disney cruise. Also there are some excellent posts on
Disney Rewards and the
Disney Parks Blog sharing suggested ways to surprise loved ones with this glorious news.
Wishing you the best of luck in planning this WONDERful holiday gift. Be sure to video their reactions because I know it will be a priceless memory.
Happy Holidays and Happy Sailing!
