Hiya, Shannon. Thanks for visiting planDisney. What a wonderful question - you've got one lucky daughter!
I've got great news for you! Children who are under the age of three do not require a
theme park ticket or park reservation, so you do not need to purchase a theme park ticket for your grandson. He is a Guest of Mickey Mouse until he turns 3! However, it might be fun to include a Disney gift card along with your ticket purchase for some extra magic. Disney gift cards can be redeemed at most dining and merchandise locations throughout the
Happiest Place on Earth. Shannon, here is a little bit more information for you to share with your daughter. Children of all ages should be included on any advanced dining reservations so Cast Members know how many people to expect. Also, if your daughter has a
Lightning Lane Pass along with her theme park ticket, your grandson is free to ride with her on rides where he meets the
height requirement. Since he won't have a theme park ticket, he will also not be expected to have a Lightning Lane.
Also, since he's still a little Mousketeer, you might want to mention that both Disneyland Resort theme parks have a
Baby Care Center. These centers have baby essentials like diapers and wipes, baby food, and sunscreen for purchase in case she forgets anything. The Baby Care Centers also have a changing area and feeding area, perfect for the littlest Guests at the resort!
Shannon, I hope this answers your question and helps your daughter plan a magical visit. If either of you has any other questions, please feel free to visit us again.
Have a magical day,
Melissa
