I would like to give a Capture Your Moment photo session as a gift for a trip being planned the first week of November 2025. Can you please provide details on when and the best way to do that? Thank you!

    Hiya Barbara,

Welcome to planDisney! I love that you are looking to gift a little magic with a Capture Your Moment photo session. A little over three years ago, I did one to celebrate my pregnancy, and the experience is one of my favorite memories. I felt so well taken care of, and the photos were incredible. I loved the experience so much that it is often one of my most recommended.

So, whether you are gifting an enchanting spot in Fantasyland or a galaxy far, far away, yes, you can gift a Capture Your Moment photo session for someone else. Once your reservation window opens up (60 days before your arrival), you will be able to make your reservation through the Walt Disney World Resort website (currently, reservations are only available through mid-September). The photo sessions are very popular, so as soon as your window opens up, you will want to try to find a reservation. After selecting a time and date, you can enter the Guest Information for the session. They must be linked to you through your Family and Friends list for you to be able to add them. Unfortunately, this does take away the element of surprise, though. Once you purchase the experience, it will appear in that person's Future Plans when you assign it to them. Another option is to buy them a Disney Gift Card for the total of the photo session on it. Then they can use the Disney Gift Card to make the reservation themselves!

I hope this was helpful, Barbara! Before I let you go, consider adding the 1-Day Memory Maker or the Advanced Purchase Memory Maker to your cart for the Capture Your Moment photo session, as this allows them to download all their photos (photo downloads are not included with Capture Your Moment). One of my favorite parts about Memory Maker is that with one Memory Maker, you can get all the photos for up to 25 people (linked together via the Family and Friends list). If you're on the vacation, purchasing Memory Maker would include your photos, as well as those of whoever you're buying the gift for. I hope they love their gift, and please come back if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
